WHAT DOES A HAIR ENHANCEMENT EXPERIENCE INCLUDE?

WHAT ARE THE BOOKING REQUIREMENTS?

A consultation, service agreement, and 50% non-refundable deposit is required to book a hair extensions appointment.

WHAT IS THE COST OF A HAIR EXTENSION SERVICE?

The cost of extensions is only quoted with a consultation, as each and every application is custom for each client. A price quote is never given without a consult. Cost is dependant on the stylist, method, your natural hair, and desired end look you are trying to achieve. Length, texture and density of current hair and goal hair are taken into account. WHAT DOES THE CONSULTATION LOOK LIKE?

During the consultation, we will assess your hair to see if you are a good candidate for hair extensions. We will create a personal treatment plan for your hair to create your most beautiful, dream hair. We will discuss goal length, color, and volume, and assess the requirements needed to reach that goal based on your natural hair length, density, texture, and color. Each extensions application and extension strand of hair is fully customized for each client, therefore an in person consultation is necessary.

Vera is a Certified Great Lengths Platinum Artist and certified Invisible Cold Extensions (ICE) Artist, with over 8 years of experience in applying extensions. Every stylist offering extensions at Vera Salon is Great Lengths Certified. Vera has applied over 800 sets of extensions and colored many more heads of hair. She has fine tuned her craft into her own method using healthy color, modern smoothing treatments, and luxury hair extensions to create a seamless, natural look for each client. Vera takes individual extensions a step further and hand sources hair from top luxury brands including Great Lengths, Tiffany Scott, Bellami, Extensionology, and her own line of hand picked Slavic/Eastern European hair, the highest luxury in hair, to match the color, texture, and density for each and every client for a truly customized experience.

CAN I HAVE A VIRTUAL CONSULTATION?

Yes! We can consult virtually for clients who currently have hair extensions applied at Vera Salon. For out of town clients traveling in, we will need to see your hair in person to properly assess your current hair condition, needs, and color matching for us successfully complete your hair extensions appointment. We always recommend having at least 3-4 days planned for your trip so that we may order the hair you need. Day one will be to schedule your consult for your personalized Hair Enhancement Experience, day 2 is reserved for us to prep the hair extensions, color and treat/ smooth your hair if needed, and day 3 or 4 will be the application day. For guests currently wearing extensions applied by us, a full day booking may be possible based on time required.

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN MY EXTENSIONS ENHANCEMENT EXPERIENCE?

Vera Salon is an intimate boutique salon, offering a unique combination of zen + lux. Snacks, champagne, headphones, a meditation app and netflix, a cooling eye mask, essential oils and hot towels are provided for you. Your hair will be cleansed, fully customized extension hair expertly applied, cut and styled. Color, treatments, and other services are separate services from this service and are booked during your consultation. They may be on the same day or on a different day depending on timing and treatment requirements.

WHAT MAKES YOUR HAIR APPLICATION INDIVIDUAL?

Each and every keratin extension application is fully customized to each client’s hair texture, density and color. Strands are applied in 1/4 inch sections matching the hair density on each area of the head, making every application different and personalized.

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT DURING AND AFTER APPLICATION?

Expect to spend a full day at the salon, so please don’t book anything after your appointment. Dress comfy! We’ll do a mini photoshoot after your application so you can show off your new hair. After the application you will receive a maintenance sheet. It is very important to follow each point on it to avoid possible breakage or shedding. It is normal to lose up to 20 % of hair in the life span of your extensions. Natural shedding of your hair will cause you to lose a few strands, especially towards the end of your hair cycle.

HOW LONG WILL MY APPLICATION LAST?

When cared for properly at home, keratin & invisible cold extensions should last 3-5 months with no salon maintenance! Invisible cold extensions can be moved up every 3-4 months. Keratin extensions are not moved up, and the hair is not re-used. Tape-in’s last 4-7 weeks until maintenance is required and last up to 1 year.

ARE EXTENSIONS DAMAGING?

When applied properly, cared for following the recommended maintenance, and removed expertly at the recommended date, extensions do not damage your hair. On the contrary, many of Vera’s clients experience restored and healthier hair over a year’s time as they learn to care for their hair with us. Keratin extensions are unique in that our hair is made out of Italian keratin, and the keratin bond wraps around the natural hair strand allows it to “breath” by shrinking and expanding when the hair is wet/ dry. ICE extensions are the gentlest, newest and most invisible method, and is damage- free when maintained properly at home and removed at the schedule recomended for you.

Make sure to wash the salt water out of your hair right away, deep condition, and keep brushing!
